Dave, Great to hear!!! Please let me know how the rear end/package rode?? I kind of think Roadway/Yellow takes better care of its business customers and it sure didn't hurt that Vicki's friend in receiving put all the stickers all over it. Please tell everyone how the all important rear looks to you....

Glad to hear that you all had a good trip!! as long as the packaging wasn't disturbed I feel confident that it made the trip ok-I was a bit concerned about the 2 inner-most bands being broken by a pallet jack-don't forget the breather hose and shock plates in the small box.

The original flywheels had 160 teeth and the replacement flywheels and ring gears have 157 teeth.-Fred-

Ford changed the number of flywheel teeth as they felt that the pitch with less teeth on the flywheel matched the starter better. The flywheel teeth were found to have a longer life with less of them. That would effectively make each tooth just slightly thicker as well. The starters were not changed.-Fred- Edited by - c6zzkgt on 08/12/2010 08:20:30

Dave, If the 4 speed is from a small block Mustang it will bolt right in, you will need to get a speedometer cable assembly for a 4 speed car as the 3 speed will now be too short.

In a word - no. The reference dimensions are from a fixed flat surface to the points on the front (steering gear - bumper mt) and to the leaf spring mounts at the rear. Those are used to make the car track and steer properly (along with the dimensions on the other view). Your drawn in reference points may or may not be at the same height, level or parallel when those other dimensions are met. Jim
