Accelerator Linkage Image?

Postby Morsel » Fri Jun 09, 2017 4:05 pm

I have a 1966 GT K Automatic, I'm wondering if anyone has a photo they can email me of the correct accelerator linkage, specifically the return spring and bracket on the Autolite 4100 carb. I think mine is not setup correctly, and not even sure if my bracket is correct. I know posting photos here is a pain, so here's my email: jason@shredsf.com

I would super appreciate it because I can't find any pictures online for our Kars with the correct setup that show that area, it's always covered by the air filter.

Thanks in advance,

Jason

The 4 speed setup is the same as the automatic.

I figured as much, but I still can't find a photo of what I believe to be the correct setup online, just looking for a photo of someones that is "correct" or at least believed to be, haha.

Thanks,

Jason

I am not at home currently but I am pretty sure that it shows in Bob Mannels book.

I'll have to look, I have that book, but I feel like I looked in there before and couldn't find it. I'll peek again tonight in there and see what I can find and get back to this thread tomorrow.

Thanks,

I emailed you a couple of photos of how it is setup on my 65K.
If you do not receive, you can also scroll to the bottom of this web page to view them.

The bracket is shown on page 6-19 in the Mannel book but there is not a good image of the spring.

Hope this helps!
