On Sunday I got the system fitted, it went on very well. I did not fit any additional hangers or drill any sheetmetal.
With some trepidation I fired the car up in the garage. Wow what a glorious sound, deep and mellow at idle.

On the road at cruise it is no louder than the muffled system I took off. There is no booming or resonance, or fizzing on the over run.
BUT stamp on the throttle and it sounds like the hounds of hell have been released from the rear valance.

I am over the moon with it, I will try to post a video clip when I learn how to do it.

OK OK Fair comment, but the amount of work I have put in underneath this car is beyond belief. At the moment its dry roads only.
Just cos you are baking over there dont be unkind to us who suffer with 'weather'.
Have you got a replacement for the Shelby yet ?

you know me, I like to give my drinkin' buds a little grief.

I have bought two cars to replace the Shelby. A '65 K code & a 1966 Galaxie 500

I had owned the HiPo about 3 minutes before starting out on my 1st road trip in it, from Illinois to Texas, about 1140 miles: http://www.cars-on-line.com/59973.html

a set of jim Inglese Weber carbs is arriving this week for the HiPo
http://www.jiminglese.com/

and here is the Galaxie:

Ray
Those cars are fantastic.
I like the HiPo, something familiar about it.
You must have an oil well in your yard to be putting webers on it.
So you've blown the European tour fund then ?
Guess I'll have to wait even longer to get a beer out of you.

Needed to put some of the Shelby dough where I couldn't easily drink it up, so a k code and webers seemed like a good idea.

This whole thread has me interested in replacing my exhaust with something close to correct. It's been too long, and all I remember about the original system was that I liked it! :) I looked at this suppliers offerings and couldn't find the correct system.

June 1965 K code GT.

My car will be a driver, but close to original would be nice. Any suggestions on who's system is the nicest?

Greg, yours would use the dual muffler and resonator assemblies. I keep NOS ones in stock for my Kars as they do eventually wear out. That system is not nearly as noisy as the Arvinode system and it was Fords replacement for the Arvinode. There is no aftermarket replacement system that sounds the same as the NOS dual muffler and resonator system.

I think he is working on the '65/'66 version and is almost finished or just finished with the prototype.
