This is another example of this dealer blowing up the "facts". You may remember their claims of this $5.5 Million dollar Mustang some years back:
http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vintage-mustang-forum/567507-my-conversation-seller-5-5-million-mustang-long.html

After all was said and done it was a steaming pile of garbage story that bounced around for a few years selling at auction for less than 40k each time.
http://www.sportscardigest.com/mecum-kissimmee-2013-auction-report/5/

This K code has transformed a bit recently:
http://uniclassiccars.com/ford/50749-1966-ford-mustang-fastback-k-code-hi-pro.html
http://usedcarsfsbo.com/asp/Item.asp?soldid=269368&make=ford&theday=1%2F25%2F2016

Smells like another steaming pile story from this seller.

Nice repop window sticker, should have corrected the glaring error first.

Note seller claims car was purchased on the same day it was made. Hard to do since the date code is scheduled build date. This of course negates the "paperwork" used as provenance to fabrication since it too shows these dates.

Yep, getting torn apart over on the site. One thing I wanted to point out that I pointed out in the Concours forum is the seller claims those are the original plates for that car, there is practically no way a DUP number would be for a 66 plate, that would have been issued most likely in 63. I did a lot of research when I was looking to get YOM plates for my car several years back and found this basic formula which checked out when I dug deeper...

Here's general guide for plate numbers in California, again, general.

CALIFORNIA BLACK AND YELLOW PLATES

FIRST LETTER OF PLATES STARTING WITH...

A to D 1963

E to I 1964

J to N 1965

O to S 1966

T to W 1967

W to Z 1968 and 1969

Your research is correct on this although there are some carryovers of letters on early production (September) cars as it is not totally finite.

I remember a list of black plates issued from 63 thru 64 (?) by DMV office. I think it was on a VW forum. What the DMV did was estimate a years' use for a DMV office and sent them that quantity. The starting point was Northern California, way up north. When an office ran out, they got the next batch no matter what it started with. Some large population area used a lot, "Alturas" did not.

This Kar received no bids by March 4, 2017 and therefore did NOT sell.

I like that strategy, if your car doesn't sell, raise the price, that'll show 'em.

Let's see...according to eBay, the listing says the loction is Huntley, Illinois, and the kar was SOLD for $72,500.00. Now it's listed in Hemmings, with the location stated as Brick, New Jersey. Asking price is not posted.

I'm intrigued:

The door tag date code of 22 Nov 1965 and the sell date typed into the inside cover of the owner's manual are the same. JPhil mentioned it in a previous post but I just want to be clear with my question: Does this mean someone is fabricating the owner's manual where as they took the steps to have this information typed and ink stamped into the owner's manual?
Currently: 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback, K-code, HiPo, GT-350 Clone, Signal flare Red, black interior
Formerly: 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe, A-code, Wimbledon White, red interior

If someone was trying to make the dates "sync up", then the date in the owner's manual should be a few weeks (or more) after the scheduled build date. As an example, my kar has a scheduled date of B15, but the engine was actually assembled B15, and the dealer invoice is March 31, 1965.
