Interesting that it is listed as Caspian blue in the Russo and Steele auction and now it is listed as Guardsman blue in the Ebay auction. The current seller loses points for not knowing the difference.

Does anyone know if it sold at the Monterey 2015 R-S auction?

It did not. Same owner/company has had it for sale for several years.

It will sit for many more due to the 90K asking price!

This Kar was bid to $23,600.00 on May 2, 2017 with 14 bids from 9 bidders and it did not meet the sellers reserve and therefore did NOT sell.

I've seen the car in person when it was at the Mustang Roundup in Bellevue, WA in 2015 right after it was restored. I know the restorer and was interested in purchasing it to have as a driver, but ultimately decided against it since it did not have the original engine. Although, the restorer did assemble the engine with all of the hipo stuff. The car sold for $60,500 including premiums at Russo and Steele in 2015.

You are correct in that the car has been for sale for a much higher price ever since the 2015 auction, but it did sell then.

The first picture has a really bad lighting job as I thought the Kar had some gaudy purple paint job.
