The seller isn't trying very hard to give a description, actually almost none, and only one picture. This Kar was listed 21 days ago according to the Craigs list ad. Here is what little description is given although the Kar does appear decent in the picture:

1966 Mustang GT 289 HiPo, Automatic, Aqua color, Rally Pac

66 K GT Fastback Signal Flare Red / Black Pony Interior
65 K Coupe Phoenician Yellow / Black Standard Interior

This Kar sits pretty high for an original GT or Hipo. Most likely the springs are not original. Makes you wonder what else may have been changed. A prepurchase inspection is warranted on this Kar.

I just zoomed in on the picture and I cannot see where it has the high performance emblem. Is it possible that this Kar, maybe not a K car, just has a Holley and high riser leading the seller to call it high performance?

I get nervous when I see a cowl cover on a Mustang.

Excellent point and one that I missed. I just did not look that close at the cowl as I was concentrating on the emblem.

I'm in the process of trying to get more information on this vehicle but seller isn't very responsive yet by email.

By now it's a good bet that any seller would know the "K" Code Mustang is the money...This ad does not say anything about this most important letter in the VIN.

the seller sent me a picture of the door data plate and this car is an A-code but claims it has a 289 cobra engine.

The typical 289 or 302 in these Mustangs with a Holley and a high riser suddenly become high performance Cobra engines.
