Does this mean a 5th edition is in works? At least updated registry?

It is valuable. I have one of the 4th, had a 3rd and gave it to a friend.
On Amazon, this book is going for over $100 with the title "The 289 High Performance Mustang: Comprehensive Guide with 289 HiPo Mustang Registry"
Is the Amazon book this book?

The Amazon Books, to my knowledge, are the Third Editions and not sold by me. There will be NO Fifth Edition. Nor can I release an updated Registry- Contractural Matter. So the Fourth is the LAST Edition and this is the last time to get all this valuable information in one place!!

Do any of the fourth editions have an updated registry. Or is there a place to get the info? I already own a fourth edition.

I assume money has been made from the sale of the different editions. Why not release the database, it's for the sake of the hobby. This information should be readily available, it was supplied by people interested in expanding the knowledge base. I could say more, but I'll stop here.

As I stated before, it is a Contractual Matter with Tony Gregory. He owns the Book and the corresponding Database....

So, I'm a little confused by this...as I understand it, the registry is updated (Kars added) through this site only, yet the content is not accessible through this site, only through a book/media that is owned by Tony - which hasn't seen an update in 10 years.

So how did that happen and what's being done to make this information accessible - at least to those who have contributed to the database?

TIA,

-Scott

essentially this is a response that took a year, but since the registry has been mentioned lately in other topics…..

BTW,
The SAAC database, or registry if you will, is only updated every 10-12 years, and even then you have to buy a $150 book to get it all. That arrangement doesn't seem to bother those guys much. Of course you can email the registrar and get a limited amount of information.

As far as the HiPo registry is concerned, the only way I see that a current registry will ever be maintained and also be accessible, is for some enterprising soul to start a national HiPo car club and use the published material as a starting place, if the author is agreeable of course. By that I mean, to start a real HiPo car club, which in comparison, the Shelby Club (SAAC) is not. A real car club has elections at regular intervals and is not run like a 3rd world dictatorship. For example, MCA is a car club. Alternatively, SAAC is a for profit business masquerading as a car club.
